The
Bible tells us the Lord God made every Plant before placing it in the earth.
The Earth
was dusty because He had not yet caused it to rain.

the Plants. At that time they were tiny bundles of DNA with instructions
on how to grow and bloom after they were placed in the Earth. They lived in a
spacious wing of
Heaven called the Molecular Garden. There were no predators. Angels came by
often to goggle
at these tiny creations who would be permitted to journey to Earth while they,
larger and smarter
creations, had to remain in Heaven.
The Angel Lucifer came almost
every day. Most days he wondered aloud why he could not go
to the Earth. The other Angels explained that going to the Earth, or doing
anything but being an
Angel, was not in the Lord God's plan for them.
Time passed. The Lord God took
dust from the earth and created a man. Then He caused it to
rain. Next morning, He called all the inhabitants of Heaven together to say
good-bye to the Plants.
He would plant them in a garden, eastward of a place called Eden on the Earth.
They would grow
and supply the needs of the man who was to be put there. The Plants were a riot
of greenery, anxious
to be planted.
While God was planting the Garden
of Eden, Lucifer called all the Angels together. He demanded
to know, "Why are Plants allowed more privileges than Angels? And this new
creation, man, why is
he being treated so special?"
The Lord God returned from
planting the Garden of Eden to find Lucifer leading the Angels in
revolt. Lucifer, the Angels declared, would be their new leader. The Lord God
ended the revolt with
one word, "No," and one action; He threw Lucifer out of Heaven.
The Angels repented and wondered
where Lucifer would go. They saw him settle in a place that
in the distant future would be called the South in a country called the United
States. This was the
most beautiful place on Earth, the Lord God's finest creation. Alarmed, the
Angels told the Lord God
where Lucifer had gone.
"Fear not, dear Angels,"
the Lord God assured them with a smile. "I altered the DNA of one of
the Plants. Everywhere Lucifer goes, this plant will grow and protect the land
from him. I named
the plant Kudzu."

Now you know why the Devil himself
can't do anything with kudzu!
